“ A window into the traditional performing and cultural arts of southern Tanzania”The exhibition will be also showcasing the work of ADEA (The African Development thoughEconomic and Arts) in Mtwara, from 14 to 16 August 2009 for the second edition of the MakuyaFestival.The aim is to preserve, promote and perpetuate the traditional culture and performing artsof Makonde, Makua and Yao tribes in the region through the MaKuYa Festival. The purpose is also to catch the audience attention through exhibition to understand thehistory and the uses of Masks in dances. Photograph and Traditional clothes will also be exhibited.The exhibition is organized by Alliance Française in partnership with MaKuYa Festival andThe centre for African Development through Economic and the Arts.
