Honourable minister of Energy and Mineral Wiliam ngereja launch a new substation at amakumbusho eariel Today

Honorable minister of Energy and Minerals has launch makumbusho substation with corporate of Japan government which was represented his Excellency the Embassy of Japan to Tanzania Hiroshi Nikagawa
As it was highlighted by the managing director this project will improve the availability and reliability of power supply to the North Dar es salaam ,Osterbay, Masaki, Sinza, Makumbusho, mikocheni and industrial area msasani and mwenge where areas where Demand has increase in larger quantity.

Tanesco has been facing various challenges in the provision of adequate and reliable power our power quality and reliability is poor due to overload and deterioration of Existing Infrastructure of these is is high growt.hof load demand in relation to generation and transmission capacity is posing yet another chalenge
On the other hand the project which consist of construction of 7km of 132kv transmission line from Ubungo Substation to makumbusho and the installation of 132kv/33kv is part of of the Tanzania Energy Development and Access Project(TEDAP).This will contributed to the overall goal of providing reliable,secure and economically the maximum production of electricity supply by Tanesco.
with the total cost of (JPY)yen 2,429383038 about Tanzania shillings 34bilions the govt of Japan will contribute (JPY)2,189287000 which is approximated Tshs billion 30bilion
Hon wiliam ngeleja sat down with japan embasy for tanzania Hon Hiroshi Nakigawa with other member of the parliament andother colleges.On the hand the Japan embasy Hiroshi Nikagawa said the govt of japan will continue to help the govt of Tanzania as because they are goods friends saying in addition that a friend in need is a friend indeed.
